THIS SPRING 23.4.2020

JHC Spring Seminar is an annual event where students of both LUT University and LAB University of Applied Sciences introduce their projects, which can be either personal, course related or represent a company collaboration. All these projects have been executed in the JHC protolab. Each participating team has an opportunity to present the key aspects of their engineered prototypes to other teams and visitors. The annual event is held at the university premises – mainly at the main lobby. The event is open for everyone interested.

This year, the JHC Spring Seminar will not take place at LUT University due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the teams who have been working at the JHC protolab with their projects will present their accomplishments via the video showcase found below. We are presenting a wide variety of innovative solutions with a total of 14 projects here on our web page. The projects both in English and Finnish give you an exclusive sneak peak into our upcoming JHC projects! The four Finnish projects are identified with a blue background

Bed Scale

BrewU

An autonomous water quality surveillance boat utilizing drone components, raspberry pi and arduinos with a variety of sensors.

The bed scale measures the weight of the sleeping person and gives data for health research purposes.

A smart coffee maker controlled by a mobile app which can be used to control several settings.
